Projectors

One of our recent video projects was at Seventh Day Adventist Church in Mansfield, Ohio.

This projector system uses two Ask Proxima C405 projectors. We chose the C405 projector because it has all the performance details needed including four optional lenses and 4500 lumens and boasts more flexibility than most. The C450 has features like power zoom, focus, and lens shift. It’s also wireless-ready. And compatible with innovative projection solutions like ProjectorNetTM, which allows you to network all your projectors from a single PC, and ProjectorManagerTM, which turns any PC into an advanced projector remote control.

Screens

Two Da-Lite 6' x 8' Model "C" projection screens were installed.  One screen was installed on each side of the sanctuary.  These are high quality professional grade wall screens.   The screens and projectors had to be positioned in such a way as not to obstruct the the beautiful stained glass window and to be as inconspicuous as possible and yet fit in the space available.(see above).  The Model "C" screen uses a Video Spectra 1.5, High Contrast Matte White finish for added clarity to the images when ambient light is an issue.

System Operation

This video system was designed primarily to display lyrics for hymns on two screens during worship services and also to show movies from a DVD player.  The video distribution amplifier allows for one input and three outputs so a remote monitor can be used to view the display.

A laptop computer is used as the input source in this system.  Seventh Day Adventist uses Microsoft Power Point presentation software to design their presentations and to add backgrounds for text. The computer's built-in DVD is used to play movies, videos, etc.
